Direct Mail, a Win for Everyone

Cornered Space Alien abhors seeing anything data related. Few data collectors and data commentators reveal how their data was collected and even worse how it was validated. There are exceptions, of course, namely the survey teams at Handywritten and PostGrid.

Recently, PostGrid released a survey/study that once again reveals the power of Direct Mail campaigns. Direct Mail gets attention, is remembered far more than digital and it’s respectful. What do I mean by respectful? Well, direct mail signals that human beings are capable of slowing down and reading paper material. Direct Mail addresses and services a deep human need - to sort through, pause and reflect on what is before oneself. It also respects the human brain. The act of touching and reading paper triggers far more in the human brain than digital ever will. Even better, those triggers eventually converge into meaningful and connected thoughts.
