  • Owner Acknowledges and Agrees to the Following:

    Printer Purchase and Ownership

To secure the cheapest possible price for Owner, the Owner must order its printer 5 weeks in advance of its first use. This ensures that the Teletype Club can order in bulk which activates the cheapest price.

The printer is your property and you have one year warranty via the manufacturer. The Teletype Club encourages owners to place Teletype Club stickers on the printer and Hub which helps identify the service for Guests.

    Printer and Network Setup

The owner is responsible for choosing the location of the printer within its property and agrees to assist TC with physically connecting the printer and the hub to the printer network and scheduling application. This requires minimal time and effort but does require attention to some detail such as entering the correct IP address and MAC address of the hub

Print Network not to be used for Emergency Communication

The print network was not devised nor manufactured to convey any type of emergency communication and is not to be used for emergency communication. The Teletype Club requires guests to agree to this as well.

    Print Network Hub

The printer hub is owned by a third party and rented by the Teletype Club. One USB port of the hub is used to connect the printer to the printer network. Owner is free to rent the 3 hubs to guests or otherwise allow guests to use the 3 remaining hubs for phone charging. The Teletype Club makes no representation as to the effectiveness of the hubs for charging. Owner acknowledges that use of the 3 hubs for charging may affect the printer power supply during printing.

    Content

The Teletype Club provides its service solely to enable the sharing of printed content and messages. It has no editorial control over content and exercises no censorship. Owner agrees to indemnify and to hold the Teletype Club harmless for any disputes (legal or otherwise) related to content and messaging including but not limited to defamation, and lewd and/or illegal content.

All content is encrypted during transport to the printer and its digital copy is immediately shredded after printing. There is no legacy information left in the printer or hub.

    Router booster and Ethernet Cord

To ensure a more convenient use of The Teletype Club print network, owner may wish to purchase a Router booster and/or an Ethernet cord. The Ethernet cord connects the printer to the onsite router and is a necessary part of the network operation. If the owner does not have one it needs to be purchased. The router booster serves to provide easy access to an Ethernet connection possibly limiting the amount of Ethernet cord to extend to the hub. Purchase of the router booster and Ethernet cord is at the sole discretion of Owner.
